The SUNDOWNER Corduroy Jacket
The SUNDOWNER corduroy jacket.
The jacket you reach for when the sun drops and the wind comes up off the water.
Every one here is different. We didn’t make these, we found them. Pulled from bales, weighed in the hand, held up to the light. Heavy cord and light. Some lined in sherpa or tartan flannel, some clean and unlined. Truckers, chore coats, a padded bomber, an easy overshirt. Every jacket checked, measured, named.
They’re sold by measurement, not by tag. Tag sizes don’t tell the whole story. Fabric shifts, brands cut differently, what was a Medium somewhere else might wear like a Large here. So we measure each one flat, armpit to armpit, and write the number down. You lay a jacket you already wear flat, measure it the same way, and compare. Apples to apples.
Old skool corduroy. Mostly honest cotton. Every jacket is one of one. When one’s gone, it’s gone.
