MAGNA on Spring Flowers
Inspired and modified from the original Hatchet Fin, which was designed and popularized by Dewey Weber in the ’60s. It is a great choice for your classic 9ft+ longboard and provides a bit more versatility (turnability) than the D fin. Turning with fins like these is typically accomplished by moving towards the back of the board and pivoting from the tail.

The high fin area makes for exceptional hold. Designed for nose riding and heavy-footed turns. It is suitable for logs with squaretails and pintails. Made in our workshop in JBay and named after a local surf spot called Magna. Layers of fiberglass are used to build a panel from where the Magna is cut and foiled. The base is handcrafted for a truly bespoke fin that is one of a kind.
